Well...its 3:45...Christmas morning...and I'm awake just blogging away. I'm having a hard time sleeping right now because I'm under the weather. Been sick for the last few days, but it really hit home last night. I got home at 2000 and just passed out for about 12 hours. I haven't been PTing at all lately, not since I made weight and this week ways supposed to be the week where my wife and I would start back up, but obviously that hasn't happened...AND we are working 12 on 12 off since the MEU is about to set sail.
Today I saw a movie, it was called, "Holiday Switch". It was about a woman that was married to her husband for about 18 years had two beautiful children and there weren't set financially. Creditors and debt collectors were blowing up her phones and knocking on her doors, and she was basically hating life because she felt unfulfilled because her and her husband didn't make much money. Well, in the movie something happens where she gets switched lives with one of her friends who is RICH and has EVERYTHING that she thinks she wants, but alas...such is not the case.
The woman with the financial problems that switched lives with her friend that is rich, soon comes to find out that she is about to get a divorce from her current husband who is also having an affair with his PR Officer and she doesn't have her children anymore.
Moral of the story to me folks, is that even though times are tough and the wallet may be a little thinner these days, lets keep our minds and hearts on what we all know what really matters. At our core we are selfish and greedy, lets use this time to not be those things, and remember that family is what matters. Being with those that you care for most in the entire world is what matters.
The particular movie I'm talking about really tugged on my heart strings. I don't make that much, I've got bills that probably aren't going to get paid anytime soon, but...I've got the two greatest kids in the world and the most beautiful woman in the world as my wife...and damn it thats enough. I come home everyday and I couldn't have asked for anything more. I'm well aware that I do not deserve such a great family, but I'm planning on spending the rest of my life showing them how much they truly mean to me. I'm not gonna sit here in melancholy and wonder why I can't give them more. I'm going to work my ass off to bring them the quality of life that they deserve.
Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas!

Happy Holidays!
Christmas came a little early this year for my wife and I. I bought us two new laptops from our MCX here on base, spent a total of $800.00. Not to bad of a deal considering what I got her and what I got myself. It has been some very trying times since I last posted.
My wife and I went to Marriage Counseling with the Chaplain and are currently working on rebuilding our relationship with each other. I sincerely love her, but these last few weeks, I have failed to show her that, I truly do appreciate all the the things that she does for my children and I.
Work has not been slacking off either. In the last three weeks I've coordinated three Phase Maintenance Aircraft and my god, we went 12 on 12 off at the beginning of this week, and I'm already counting on working for Christmas and New Years. A bunch of my guys went on leave so as always there is a manpower shortage. With the deployment about to set sail, there is so much work to be done and not enough people to do it. Probably a dozen times I have stayed to make sure that what needs to get done is getting done. Also, I've made no forward progress on getting my officer package done, BUT on the brightside I did make weiight! There have been a few days where I get home shower and just fall asleep as I hit the couch, granted my wife is not happy at all when I do that, but she is probably the most understanding person of all.
Since November 8th I've dropped a total of 17 lbs. Even my guys at work are looking at me and noticing something is different. There is still so much to do for the holiday, and like I said earlier I'm counting on working the day before and the day after Christmas and New Years as well. But hey there is always this...my little outlet for how I'm doing. I've even got a little green book that I take with me just abouit everywhere that I write all my thoughts in. Also, my good friend Chris is back in town. He is one of the few people that I like to open up to. Him and his wife are good friends of mine. I saw them at church this morning which was pretty awkward because...last I checked they weren't very active in their religious practices, but who am I to talk? The last time I went to church was well over a month ago.
On a different topic I've suddenly become obsessed with the show, "Criminal Minds". Man, is this such a good show. It talks about behavior analysis in criminals in order to catch them. I'm probably about to go watch that show right now.

Happy Turkey Day!
It's that time of year again. It's time to give thanks and remember the things that we are thankful for. I'm thankful for my family, and being able to get vertical everyday. I really don't know where I would be without my awesome wife and child.
They are... simply put...the best things that have ever happened to me.I wish we had more to do today, but we don't. I'm just going to a co-workers house and going to hang out there for a little while. I've got six more lbs to lose and I'll be at my max weight, so its going to be a light turkey day for me unfortunately, but I do what I must.
Once again, Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

It's been a rough week.
This week was pretty intense, between playing Division Chief for my Workcenter and trying to manage the training the my Marines had to take care off, it got pretty hectic. I worked some really long days, and still managed to stay on track with the Insanity Program. Its been especially taxing on my wife, because she is always at home taking care of our kids and dealing with the stress that they are giving her and myself, not really having the energy to help her as much as I usually do.
On a more positive note, I'm down to about 188 lbs! Eight pounds left and I will be where I need to be. My goal is to reach 170 lbs by the time I'm down with the 60 days that this program requires. Yesterday was an off day so we didn't do much. I did however go to the sauna just to burn off the some extra calories. I really enjoy doing this workout program, and I can feel the results already even though I'm only on Training Day Eight.
If I didn't say this already I've got a gamefly.com account, its pretty much netflix for video games and one of the best video game series I've ever played was put on one disc for my Wii: The Metroid Prime series. ALL three great games on one disc. I started playing the original Metroid Prime for the GameCube back in 2002, I think and omg it was such a great game. In 2008, I played Metroid Prime 3: Corruption another great title. I can't wait to try it again. Also, my brother spoke to my wife and convinced her into getting the controller keyboard and headset for my X-Box 360, it was pretty cool when I was playing Cod 4: Modern Warfare with my brother, but it made me remember why I don't use voice communication with console titles. People are just down right rude, vice being in vent while doing a 10/25-man raid in World of Warcraft, where if the guild is worth its pay in salt, its VERY professional, but oh well. Thats what I get.
The agenda for today is get my workout out of the way go in to work for a little while to get some word that needs to be passed, get the house cleaned and the laundry done, and HOPEFULLY be able to just chill and watch a netflix streaming movie.
Later guys!
The wife and I fought quite a bit because I was too angry, bitter or just tired to assist her. I find myself yelling at my son over the smallest thing he does. He was just setting me off the wrong way. For example, yesterday we all went to the X-treme day at the MCX, we watched a few freestyle motorcross shows and my son had a blast, watching the bikes jump into the air, but when we got home he made a comment toward me that just made me blow up and kick him out of the room. It was uncalled for, I know that, but I got so mad that my wife took my daughter's play yard and moved into the other room. I slept by myself last night. :(
I really don't know what it is, but it seems like I just can't win with my wife. I know that she works really hard to take care of our household, but everytime I come home the house is a mess with stuff everywhere, lots of things in disarray, and I ask her what can I do to help and she just glares at me and says, "Don't worry I'll do it!". So I just carry on doing my usual thing. Right now my computer desk is a mess and I know that I should clean it up, but I don't know where half of the stuff goes or where she would want me to put it, but I can't do any of my schoolwork here because I don't know what she wants to do with half of the crap thats on this desk. I understand that I shouldn't expect her to clean up, but she won't tell me where any of the stuff goes to allow me to clean it up for her. And if I ask her to clean it up, and she refuses, I can't yell at her or reprimand her like she is one of my Marines, it doesn't work that way with wives unfortunately, and honestly, that is a good thing..On a more positive note, I'm down to about 188 lbs! Day One of Insanity
So...today my wife and I started T-1 of the Insanity workout, "T-1", meaning Training Day One. Marine Corps lingo that I've picked up over the years. The workout was title "Plyometric Circuit Training", and holy cow that workout put me in the hurt locker.
Since I've returned from NAS North Island I've dropped over NINE lbs. When I first saw the infomercial for this workout plan the person that made it claimed that people who perform his workout burn up to 1000 calories in one session and I'm pretty much living proof of that. Before I worked out I weighed 191, when I was done after 35 minutes of it I was down to 189...wow...
Also, I found out that I've got a weigh in coming up on the 11th of December and with this program as long as I stick to a very lean and clean diet I have no doubt that I'll make weight, I've got 9+ pounds to lose guys, wish me luck. I'm very tired so...
See ya when I see ya.
